How to play

Double elimination means that each player or team gets two chances to win the game. When a team or player loses a match, they move to a “losers bracket” where they still have a chance to win the game. Play continues until only one player or team remains in the “winners bracket” and one player or team remains in the “losers bracket”. These two players or teams then meet in a final match.

Rules

The rules for Cornhole Double Elimination are roughly the same as the rules for singles play, with a few important differences. Each player or team has four bags and tries to throw them into the hole on the board from a designated distance. Points are awarded when the bag goes into the hole or lands on the board. When a player or a team loses a match, they move to the losers bracket where they still have a chance to win the game. However, if they lose again, they are eliminated. The players or teams in the winners bracket continue to play until only one remains, who then faces the winner from the losers bracket in the final.

Scoring

Scoring is also the same as in singles play. Each bag that goes into the hole scores 3 points, and each bag that lands on the board scores 1 point. Points are added up after each round, and the player or team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Duration

Double elimination matches can take longer to play than singles matches because each player or team gets multiple chances to win. It is usually a good idea to have a time schedule for the game so that it can be completed within a set time.
